We know what they are, we know what they look like…but do we actually know whether or not we are meeting our recommended intake of fruit and vegetables?
I’m often asked what a ‘serving’ is so here is part 1 of a little guide that I will be doing to outline what constitutes a serve of specific fruits and vegetables.
Here’s hoping that it makes it easier to reach our targets!
This picture constitutes:
2 fruit:
- 1 medium orange
- 1 medium banana
5 vegetables:
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup cooked carrot
- 1 cup red capsicum
- 1/2 medium sweet potato
- 1 tomato
